myth, she got fired for saying inappropriate comments that perhaps she thought was funny (and in my opinion-was indeed funny).

but it wasn't professional and she deserved to be sacked

Myth.

Her employers say she was fired because she called the tube "dreadful" in an interview; they say it had nothing to do with her funny fake announcements she posted online. Right.

Nope, she put on her personal website 'annoucements' such as "Will our American tourists please note they are probably talking too loud".

They weren't made on the Tannoy system of any station, unlike ones I've made where I said "our management couldn't organise an orgy in a brothel" (when trains suddenly stopped for no reported reasons) or "Terry Wogan says its snowing in Tokyo" (when people were moaning that it was windy (but dry) and the waiting room was locked, and the key was lost.)

I've been told that people appreciated honesty and humour, and since I was told to only announce delays I'm known as "the voice of doom".
