| Chang Mai from Nov. 21-23?
I'll be flying to Chang Mai on the 21st and fly back to Bangkok on the morning of the 24th. Can you recommend things to do and see there? Will I be able to join the Loy Krathong Festival?

Loy Krathong Festival is amazing in Chaing Mai. I was there a couple years ago and it was simply beautiful. There's parades, and once it gets dark people start launching these lanterns into the air. There will be thousands of those things streaming into the air. Then people make their way to the rivers and launch the Krathong boats with candles on them. So you got the boats in the water and the lanterns in the air and then the fireworks start. Like I said, it's amazing. Plus there's tons of great street food to sample. Man, I wish I were going. Have fun. |

Rent a scooter $ 5.00 a day. Eat at the Antique House across the Ping River. They have recipes passed down from their ancient Chinese family. Best food I've had in the World. Night bizzare. Go to the University and walk around. Zoo. See the Pandas Bossi's ............ night club, live music, all locals. Mall - all locals. |

I actually just got back from Chiang Mai about a week ago! Visit Wat Doi Suthep, and the Handicraft Villiage (take plain t-shirts to the umbrella factory to have hand painted - a fantastic souviner - I had my pants painted), definitely go to the elephant camp to watch the show and take a ride. there is so much to see and do in Chiang Mai, that it really depends on your interests!
