geography of suriname?

i am doing a project on suriname.
i need to know these things:
how was the geography modified over time(politically/physically)? how and why?
what are some trade-offs suriname made. was the things they gained better than what they lost?
PLEASE HELP ME! i seriously need help if you help me i will love you forever!

The geography of suriname has not changed in the last 400 years or so. A dispute is now pendig at the UN for a portion of the south-west of the country.
Suriname did not make any geographical trade offs.
