Moving To Brasov, Romania?

My husband was offered a job in Brasov. We will be leaving Mid March. He will be earning 1,500 US dollars a month. I was hoping that someone can answer some questions for me.Bringing VCR and DVD along with our own movies. Is it worth it or will we be able to find stuff in English for our children to watch. What about books, should we bring our own? How comfortable will be be only making 1,500 a month. The childrens private school is to be paid for as well as our car note. But rent,geoceries and utilities we will pay for. I was told most people speak english, is this true. I would also like to hear any thoughts on Brasov and anything else on us moving there that will be helpful. I am worried about meeting people and making friends. I am american and I don't know if that will be a factor in making friends for myself and my children. Any thoughts would be nice....I am scared

First of all, I assure you that Brasov is the most peacefull and friendly city from Romania, also clean and quiet, with nice people and a lot of opportunities to spend free time. Think that Brasov is also the most visited by tourists.

Second of all, people live decently here with $500-$600 income, so the salary your husband will have will be great.
You are scared? There is no reason to be scared. It is a peaceful country, the city you are going to is clean, you have there schools and other educational institution that use english for teaching and other things you'll find when you'll come here.

PS. It's not like Iraq or something for you to be scared... lol .. :)
