Just moved to Frankfurt, Germany-and I need friends, and a man would be nice!!!?

Well I just moved to Germany from Florida, which has been a great change for me. But I like change...i like my job and i have a fab apartment. BUT my social life has sorta gone downhill. I work with nice people...but they are all in their 40's and 50's.

And I'm not much of a club person.....and I would feel like a loser if I went to the club by myself. So I dont know how to meet people, especially since I dont speak this language fluently.

The guys here in Frankfurt are pretty hot (very diverse city)...which i love....but Im not meeting enough people. I need ideas on getting out there and socializing. I mean I have guys that look at me and smile but thats it....I dont think i look anti-social, nor have I been told that before....so I dont know what the problem is. So anybody with good ideas .....Please give them to me before I go crazy here!!! Thanks

There are coffee-bars as well as Computer Cafes in Frankfurt. Also, taverns in Germany are more family-oriented than they are in the States. You can go there for lunch or dinner and see who's there...it's not like the club scene in South Florida. There ARE meat markets there...but there's easy to spot and avoid. Also...the museums and parks in Frankfort are fun even in the winter. Do you like ice-skating? Why not try it!!! Get a bunch together and go to the rink! Frankfort is a wonderful place!
