...the USA. Advice anyone? We are a couple, mid forties, and a son 13 yrs. We have lived in NY, Portland OR, Seattle, WA and have been in Rio for 4 years now. It is difficult to make money here now, and we are considering moving back to the US, Pittsburgh or Philadelphia have come to mind, we want to stay on the east coast, in a big city.

You will be making the biggest mistake of your life if you return to America now.
You must not be aware that America is under Marshall Law. All constitutions rights have been suspended.
Stop in Costa Rica. I think you will find it an enjoyable country.It is know as the 'little Switzerland' of South America. Your family should be able to live comfortably on $800-1000 a month. A very Heath conscious country with excellent Medical facilities. People are very friendly.
The Pacific side is best but Central Plateau region is fine. The West Coast a little rough for the average folks. Dual citizenship is allowed.

Dublin, Ohio is a great choice! I don't know what profession you are in but Dublin has lots of opportunities and pretty good schools I hear!
