Moving to Hobart soon , know some people but wd like to meet more Am late

50's, single gal. Any ideas please? I'm thinking of joining the Ulysses bikey group there, sounds fun, though I've never been a 'bikey'. I'm fairly lively, have lots of interests - current affairs, arts, reading, pets - dogs, would love to join a friendly doggy club, open to new interests too. I'm in Melbourne , and have lived overseas in a variety of places. My friends in Hobart are lovely, but a youngish family, and I'll need to make my own friends too. I'm told people are very friendly there.
